Maintenance Tips

• Within the first 60 days: check and tighten all hex bolts, T-nuts, carriage bolts, lock-nuts, and lag screws; repeat twice annually thereafter
• Within the first 90 days: apply a sealant or semi-transparent stain with sealant to protect the wood — oil-based or water-based stains are both suitable
• Remove the wooden roof during extreme weather to prevent damage
• In cold climates, remove swing belts, tire swing, and flexible components during winter to extend their lifespan
• Spray swing hangers with a food-safe oil (e.g. olive oil) to eliminate squeaking — avoid petroleum-based products like WD-40
• To repel insects, dab liquid dish soap on interior wooden corners underneath the deck
• To speed up the slide, wipe the centre with wax paper every 2–3 weeks
• Clean with mild soap and water — avoid harsh chemical cleaners
• Sand down any rough or splintered wood surfaces promptly
